Color Balance Correction in GIMP

Your eye can do things automatically that cameras cannot as easily.

Your brain can correct for changes in light. This is called White Balancing.
At sunset a white object looks different then a white object under flourescent lighting.

A camera will often get fooled by this and your pictures may have a tinted cast
that can be corrected (to a degree). Ideally you will correct for this before you take
the picture in your camera's white balance adjustment. But that is beyond the scope of this
lesson here.

To access GIMP's Color Balance Tool go to:

Colors Menu / Color Balance

Proceed to move the three sliders between

Cyan / Red
Magenta / Green
Yellow / Blue

Here is a before and after. Its not perfect but seems improved no?
